Pocket Win Review
With a name like Pocket Win, it should come as no surprise that this lively site is designed for play on your mobile. I’m not sure how many people can fit a tablet in their pocket, but it works perfectly well on those too. The welcome page is a rolling sequence of promoted games, with some tasty promotional offer too. The “Register” button is right at the top of the screen, and joining is simply a matter of completing the pop up form. But be warned, you will receive a text message everyday and the only way to stop it is by calling the help desk. It is a really long process so caution is advised if you decide join PocketWin.
“Hey hang on a minute!” I hear you shout. “I want to know what’s inside first!” Well this site is not run by one of the big names, so you won’t find any of the usual big name games either. But this is not really a disadvantage. After all, you can play those just about anywhere. What you DO get is some really nicely designed games that are completely different and display some real innovation, along with a fair bit of cheeky character. All the games are created in house by the designers at Intouch Games, and they have come up with some real beauties. I loved the quirkiness of Steve the Sheep (no comments please) and Disco Gold was great too. With bass bins and dodgy dance moves galore, this will really take people of a certain age back to the halcyon days of the vinyl spinning DJ and Saturday Night Fever. The “Spin” button is an old record deck, and there are loads of record inspired features. Can you tell I liked it? Anyway, there are loads of other great games to play too, including some more traditional casino games like Roulette. Full instructions are included for all the games, and you can play everything for free in Demo mode so you can get used to them before you play for real. This is of course a good idea when a site is offering games you are unlikely to have seen before. On the down side, you do have to download the games rather than just load them on your web browser, but that is a small inconvenience to undergo in order to experience such unique games.
Payments can be made via your Visa or MasterCard debit cards, or via the ever popular PayPal. The minimum deposit amount is just £3. But the easiest way to get started for mobile players is simply to use your phone. All you need to do is provide your mobile number and charges are added to your service provider’s regular monthly statement. If you are a Pay As You Go customer, deposits are deducted from your remaining call credit instead. There is a daily limit of £30 when using this method.
Withdrawals are subject to the site’s wagering requirements. These are probably the most generous around: you merely need to play through your deposit + bonus before making a claim. Yes, that’s right! If, for example, you make a deposit of £10 and were to receive a bonus of £10, you only have to spend all the £20 to be able to cash out. Even if you accept the free no deposit £5 offer, you just have to make an equivalent deposit to be able to cash out, and even if you don’t, you are subject to a maximum claim limit of £50. These really are just about the best terms around!
Pocket Win will not be for everyone. With a relatively small number of unique games, people looking for all their regular favourites will need to look elsewhere. But players looking for something a bit different will love this quirky title. And with such lenient wagering requirements, this innovative and entertaining site will surely attract lots of new fans. Spread the word!
