Summing up Apple Pay Casino Sites by Boku Casino Sites

What is an Apple Pay Casino?

If you own a apple device such as an iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch or Mac then you may well already be aware that you can pay for goods with your device. Apple Pay allows you to now also make a deposit at a certain number of different online casinos. Apple pay allows you to make a deposit with just the touch of your device like you would paying for any other goods or services. Its no different to using your iPhone when paying for your shopping online, the process is exactly the same.

The process is very simple and also very secure. When you join any of the apple pay casino sites shown above you simply head over to the banking section of the site. Here you will see a number of depositing options, one of which all be ‘Apple Pay’. Simply select this option and then decide how much you wish to deposit. You will then need to use your touch id to approve the payment and then its all done. The amount you’ve deposited is taken from the card which you have chosen to setup in your devices wallet.

How to Setup Apple Pay

First of all you need to make sure that Apple Pay is compatible with your device. See our table below to check which devices can be used.

You add up to 8 different cards on your chosen device. Each device has a slightly different way to setup payment and can be found below.

Add a card on your iPhone, iPad and Mac

  • Add a card on your iPhone, iPad and Mac

  • Go to your Wallet and hit the Add Credit or Debit Card button.

  • There will then be a number of steps for you to follow to add a new card. If you’re using the card that you use for iTunes then you’ll only need to enter its security code.

  • After you’ve clicked ‘next’ you’re bank or card issuer will need to verify your information to decide if you can use the card for Apple Pay. Some card issuers may need you to provide some more information, which can be supplied at the time of setting it up.

  • After following the steps in wallet you should be all set to now use that card for Apple Pay.

If you’re using a Mac then initial steps are slightly different, as you’ll need to start by going to System Preferences > Wallet & Apple Pay. Then simply follow the instructions on screen.

How Do Apple Pay Casinos Work and is it Safe?

Apple pay at casinos is incredibly safe as it uses a ‘two factor authentication’ process via the touch facility or passcode. Essentially your card provider already has the first layer of protection. The two-factor element comes into force by the fact that the owner of the device will need to provide finger id or a passcode. This in turn makes it an exceptionally safe way to make a deposit at a casino.

To get a little technical the service uses the EMV Payment Tokenisation Specification. What this means is that your card details are actually kept private from the casino. This is because ‘Payment Tokenisation’ replaces the card number with a dynamic security code that is generated for each transaction that is made, meaning no two transactions generate the same number. Apple has also confirmed that they between you and a casino site, therefore ensuring your details are always totally safe.

Unlike a number of other pay by phone options, there is no charge involved with making a deposit with Apple Pay and has higher deposit limits. The daily limits are also not set by the casino, but by your card issuer. So if you have a higher limit on your card then you will be able to make larger deposits. The downside to the payment method is that withdrawals cannot be made this way. This may well change in the future, but at the moment it is purely a form of making a deposit. It is also worth noting that at the moment Apple Pay is only available to residents of the UK.

At the moment this form of payment is pretty new. Apple only launched it in October 2014 and so far very few online casino operators has chosen to implement its use. However, there is no doubt that is likely to catch on due to its of ease of use, and the fact that the iPhone and iPad are two of the most popular mobile devices in the world.
